At OASIS Ankara, we fully embrace the safeguarding principles established by CSPN. We ensure that the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of every student is central to all our staff training and daily practices. We annually teach students the parameters of abuse and ways to respond in unsafe situations. The purpose of addressing issues of child abuse is to increase awareness and safety within the school community. Here is a link to click to learn more about CSPN.

At OASIS Ankara, the Child Safety Team is a dedicated group of school staff committed to safeguarding and protecting our students and vulnerable individuals. The Team involves two of our counselors, a teacher, and one administrator (to liaise between the facilities manager for physical safety and the head of school). The Team’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all adults involved in our school community—including teachers, support staff, volunteers, and vendors—follow and uphold policies focused on student welfare. The Team also oversees the school’s proactive child safety and protection initiatives, regularly assessing and updating these programs to maintain their effectiveness in meeting the safety needs of children.

  2. A student, staff member, or parent identifies a safety concern and fills out the online Child Safety Form attached in the Weekly New or below on this webpage.

  3. The incident will be investigated by a member of the Child Safety Team.

  4. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, OIS will comply with CSPN practices and if necessary any legal reporting requirements of our host country
