Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year, our 22nd year of serving the international community in Ankara. This is my fifth year at OASIS, and I am excited to step into the role of Head of School and continue to lead our school in providing quality international education. I am so thankful for the two directors before me and how they started the school and brought it to where we are today.

OUR HISTORY

In the early 2000’s, a group of parents from the expatriate community of Ankara, Turkey partnered with network of OASIS International Schools to establish a new school for their children. CLASSES

Class sizes currently average between 15 and 20 students per grade level

ARTS

Elementary students attend art one time per week and use a variety of materials and techniques to produce artwork.

HOST CITY

Oasis International School is located in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. Ankara is an old city with a history spanning the Hittite, Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras. Modern Ankara’s four main pillars consist of the government, the military, foreign embassies, and education. Home to 5 million people, it is located in central Turkey on a mountainous plateau 3,000 feet above sea level with a cool, dry climate. We are accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. MSA-CESS is one of the six major accrediting bodies in the U.S., and it accredits many quality international schools in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

We are fully approved by the Turkish Ministry of Education.
