All the different holidays and events celebrated at Oasis
Christmas
At Oasis, Christmas is a special time of year! We decorate the school with lights and a Christmas tree in the cafeteria decorated with photos and ornaments made by our students. We have an annual Christmas concert performed by our music students that all students and families are welcome to attend.
We also have Christmas parties which are a fun and exciting way for our school to come together and celebrate the festive season. The day entails a half day of school then each grade goes to their homeroom to party. Our annual Christmas parties involve an afternoon of fun activities, tasty treats, exciting games along with gift giving.
Christmas
At Oasis School, Christmas is a special time of year! We provide a variety of festivities for our students and staff to enjoy, including a holiday party in the cafeteria, a Christmas tree light show. We also host a Christmas carol sing-along to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Our students have the option to perform a holiday play each year, and we have special gift-giving ceremonies in which each student receives a present. It's a magical time of year, and we look forward to celebrating with our Oasis School family!
International Day
International Day is an annual event we celebrate at our school. We have over 400 students from over 75 countries all over the world. It's essential to celebrate all the different cultures that build up our school community. It's also a fun way for our students to learn and discover more about the cultures that surround them.
International Day is a day when all of the Oasis families are invited to come to watch a flag parade where our students walk with their flag as well as dress in their traditional clothes. Then at lunch, we host an international cafe where parents bring in their cultural foods. Our elementary students can enjoy a day of fun activities and a culture show.
Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is an annual event that takes place at Oasis at the end of October. The school is decorated with spooky, yet fun embellishments made by our students that bring out the festive spirit. The Fall Festival is a fun and interactive way to bring the whole school together to enjoy an afternoon of games, candy, and costumes.
To prepare for the Fall Festival, each homeroom class plans and prepares fun games for students to play, with candy as a prize! Oasis families donate food from their home cultures that is sold in the International Cafe, and everyone is encouraged to dress up in costumes.
