What part does the Turkish language play in the OIS curriculum?
OIS offers Turkish language lessons as a supplemental part of its elementary curriculum. Turkish is also taught at the secondary level in fulfillment of the two-year foreign language requirement for graduation. By doing so, we hope to instill in our students a respect for their host culture, a practical assistance in everyday communication, a head start in any future language-learning endeavors, and a global citizen mentality.
